From the Manufacturer The Bridgeport Fittings 381 1/2-Inch Insulated Grounding Bushing has the insulated locknut installation. It is made from zinc electroplated malleable iron. It has a trade size of 1/2-Inch and a wire size of 14 AWG solid to 4 AWG stranded. Also it has a tin electroplated 6061-T6 aluminum alloy lug. This bushing has a diameter of 1-1/16 inches and a height of 3/8-Inch. CSA approval UL 514-B. Bridgeport Fittings, Inc. was founded by Adelbert R. Auray and Neil G. Hayes in 1925 as The Bridgeport Switch Company. Initially, the product line consisted of electrical switches, bells, buzzers, wall switches and receptacles. The company shifted manufacturing direction in 1936, when it was decided to emphasize conduit and cable fittings for the electrical industry. Malleable iron, steel, aluminum and brass fittings replaced the original residential electrical components. Later, in 1948, the company changed its name to Bridgeport Fittings, Inc.
